Some people wonder who it is that would build an entire site devoted to an insect like the shad. Well, this is him....
It's none other than a man named Jacob Norris. And here is the story.
Jacob lived in North Bay, Ontario for many years and had enjoyed the wonderful shad seasons there very much before finally moving to Seattle Washington, USA in August 2000. But, in 1999, while still in Canada in North Bay, he met his 'to be wife' online due to his online pursuits. And, as love grew, a strange shad site grew with it. You see, the woman that he met was very interested in the shadfly as he told the stories of it. Therefore, Jacob decided to build a web site that would explain the insect in all its glory for everyone to enjoy.
